Our EXTRA LARGE HEAVY DUTY steel hidden brackets are perfect for floating shelves. These brackets are for moderate to heavy load applications (kitchen dishes, moderately sized mantles, etc.). Example pictures from our customers of their floating shelves are shown. Brackets are made from 2″ by 3.75″ steel plate (~1/8″+ thick) mig / GMAW welded to 1/2″ round steel tube (please contact us for pricing a custom length). All measurements are approximate but typically within 1/8″; these are hand made.

Each bracket can hold up to 30 pounds when properly anchored into structure, so 60# for a pair! I strongly recommend using a #9 screw or better. Four mounting holes are provided for this purpose, making these brackets especially useful with masonry walls and / or when your shelf doesn’t neatly cross multiple studs. Mounting instructions are included with each shipment.

Lightly painted flat black to seal the steel and resist rusting.

Brief mounting instructions:
(1) Drill 9/16″ or 5/8″ holes into the shelf or item you wish to hang. Take care to place them where your studs or structural supports are located.
(2) Slide brackets into the hole. Mark the wall with the brackets inside the holes.
(3) Remove shelf, hold each bracket against the wall where markings were made and screw it into place.
